Siegfried Klotz

Klotz’s studio, his “work den” at the Academy of Fine Arts on Brühl’s Terrace in Dresden, was a place of intense creativity. The painting table resembled an installation. Piles of leftover paint, brushes, paint tubes, and rags were scattered everywhere. It was in the studio that his self-determination as a painter and as a person took shape. Here, over the course of nearly forty years, his unmistakable body of work emerged: portraits, nudes, cityscapes - vibrant, untamed and full of life.
