1940-1943 Apprenticeship as a technical draughtsman
1943-1945 Soldier in the Second World War
1950 Return from French captivity
1952-1955 Work as a design engineer
1955 freelance since then
1956-1962 Drawing lessons with various artists and first concrete drawings
1962-1966 Studied under Ernst Hassebrauk
1968 24 ink drawings, »Konkrete Zeichnungen«, from which the screen print series »schwarz-weiß-grau« (1976-85) and the sequence »paraphrasen« (1970) were developed.
1979-1983 followed by the colour screen printing series »Farbiger Epilog«
1980-1994 he reached his artistic zenith with the circle series »Cogito ergo sum« in mixed media and screen printing.
2004 died in Dresden
