Lutz Bleidorn
Lutz Bleidorn's artwork is largely inspired by the surroundings of his home town Rendsburg in Schleswig-Holstein. In his paintings, he collects and sorts scenic impressions, striking architecture, but also memories of childhood events and dreams. In doing so, he walks the fine line between reason and emotion, between construction and intuition, reflecting the existential dualism of today's individual. With his unique visual language, Lutz Bleidorn is one of the outstanding artists of his generation.

Lutz Bleidorn's pictorial worlds are neither ideal or idealized landscapes nor impressionistic snapshots or narratives, but carefully condensed reflections of things seen and remembered. The loving, but never glorified view of the well-known that surrounds us every day, merges familiarity with distance, warmth with coolness, intimacy with a grand prospectus, creating sometimes brokenly romantic, sometimes festive, sometimes enigmatic visions of home.
Lutz Bleidorn. Morgenstimmung und Nachtgespenster, Katalog zur Ausstellung, Dresden: Galerie Himmel 2021
Everything we can sense is real. And behind rational reality, there is an infinite number of other wonderful worlds in all possible colors. If I can grasp this appeal, my world becomes bigger and richer. If I, as an observer, take part in such a rich work of art, the magic also spreads to me. A small piece of infinite beauty, made visible in the picture or made audible in music.
