Konrad Henker, who devotes himself exclusively to etching, works in the high Alps, capturing the elemental and immediate impressions of natural beauty and the forces of nature on heavy zinc plates in solitude and silence. In the studio, the etchings are elaborately reworked and further developed using aquatint and line etching. A lightness of touch, lively dynamism, and technical bravura give the ›landscapes of the soul‹ a fascinating depth.
